folds

the bottom
the day
spans
out
before me
with all
its promise
and
obligation
the streets
shine
irridescent
slick
with oil
and hesitation
the night's
vehement
rain
ravaged
the juvenile
cherry trees
the moleskin
sidewalk
spattered and filled
with wild
storming
petals
pages
all
in
the
pink
